Bluetooth finally taking off?
It's been a very long coming, and tons of hype, still not becoming the commercial success everyone had hoped for. Bluetooth was even considered a WLAN/802.11 killer for a while, but that was soon forgotten when the latter fairly suddenly became ubiquitous due to the low-priced yet very good offerings from D-Link, NetGear etc. WLAN is still to show up in corporations, but that's another story. Bluetooth's place is as a cable replacement and that's what this article highlights, primarily focusing on the use in mobile phones and wireless headsets.
