Verizon now allows phones as data modems
It seems obvious, but not until now does Verizon endorse this use of a phone. Considering we are talking EV-DO, the real need of such performance is for hooking up to the office from a notebook, so it's definitely a smart move. Sprint already offers this. It's pricy though: $60/month.
