For those of you looking for database engines for your mobile applications I've added those I believe are the most popular ones on the Java ME - Applications page.

I don't believe Codebase offers a CLDC database. Pointbase Micro is no longer available. Since IBM bought the parent company, they discontinued the product. We knoe because we were using the db for five years. However, Pointbase db was not all it was cracked to be and made functionality claims that were not correct, including the size, which was much larger if you used the functionality they listed.
There is a new database that will be available on the market for the CLDC platform in February 2009 from our company; we got tired of there being no good db's available for CLDC and CDC and built this from the ground up engineered specifically for this platform. This database has comprehensive functionality, including triggers, cursors, Uencoding, encryption, integrated JDBC driver, etc. More importantly, it has been tested on every major CLDC and CDC platform and will support about 90% of the mobile device market worldwide (about 2.8 billion devices), including symbian (all versions), Windows Mobile (all versions), Windows CE / Windows Mobile PPC, Android, Blackberry, many versions of Linux, etc. plus many different JVM's have been tested. It is only about 100K in size and has been benchmarked to have the best performance among mobile databases with or without indexes. If you would like to know more about the products, you may contact me at bruce.howard@zoduna.com or 815-530-6931. The website is not up yet, but will be soon.
