More than 1 billion mobile phones shipped 2006
That's ... at least a truck load. Up 22.5% since 2005.

Relative market share:
  1. Nokia: 35.8%, up
  2. Motorola: 22.3%, up
  3. Samsung: 11%, same
  4. Sony Ericsson: 8.8%, up
  5. LG: 5.8%, down
Quote: Emerging markets became a bigger factor in the industry's growth in 2006, accounting for more than half of all shipments.
