GPS + Galileo means better location
In the world of location we've all learned that GPS is the best there is and there's no alternative, but New chip enables one-second GPS tracking indicates there are ways to improve on it.

U-blox has combined GPS with information from the European Galileo satellites to get:
  • much quicker location (<>
  • indoors location (that GPS can't handle)
  • low power consumption

Especially indoors function could open up a lot of new uses, e.g. tracking equipment or even people within buildings. I wouldn't like to be tracked this way, but certain professions might gain from this, e.g. guards that need to be spread out in a building.
