Apple is the friend of journalists
If you look att Yahoo! News right now almost all news there are about the iPhone. Why are journalists so eager to help Apple promote products? Just because they have an iMac on their desk, or that they think the iPod is the first and only music DAP, and the iPhone is the first and only useful mobile phone / mobile computer?
I acknowledge that the iPhone has some neat features, but primarily breaks new ground in the stifled operator/carrier controlled telecom business. The latter part is key, as this industry requires new business models to evolve.
